Shad is an awesome person to work with. I started working with Shad back in August because I chose Shad to be my coach to help me qualify for Boston in about a 4 months period. I had an upset stomach in the morning before the race. I was careful with my food the night before but something did not sit right. I was in no shape in the morning to run that time, and after a few miles I thought I may not finish.
I have no idea how I managed that time and my legs just kept on going at that 7:20 pace inspite of running very hard from an aerobic effort standpoint The progression long runs and our training is what got me through.
Also with my 11 min buffer, I'm fairly confident of getting into Boston for next year. BIG THANK YOU for everything. With your coaching even on a bad day I can still run my pace, and that's given me a lot of confidence and belief in our training.
Today. Holy smokes. Setting a sub 3 goal was so scary, and I didn't TRULY believe I could do it until my incredible coach @skiptoob told me I was ready. I trusted him and the training we've accomplished together, and let my legs & heart carry me! I'm so grateful. What a fun day!! Surprise, but I don't think I'm done yet 😉💗
